What is a PMA Approval?
Is a combined design and production approval for modification and replacement articles. It allows a manufacturer to produce and sell these articles for installation on type certificated products. Federal Aviation Administration Orders 8110.42 and8120.22 prescribe the approval procedures for FAA personnel and guides applicants in the approval process.
Par64 LED
IFE’s new PAR64 LED landing light has been given the FAA PMA – which means, we are eligible to cover most Boeing, Airbus and Embraer fleet types. This LED landing light is a plug and play replacement for the existing lamp P/N Q4559 (requiring no aircraft modification). The product technology offers the advantages of lower power consumption, less heat, improved intensity and beam spread, and long-term reliability. This LED lamp can now be offered with PMA and 8130.
